Vic Smyth memorabilia, comprising a pair of his jockey breeches circa 1920s, by Bedford Riding Breeches Co., Marble Arch, London, with name tag inside for V. Smyth, reasonably good condition, some marks; sold together with blue and white jockey silks believed to have been from one of his owners when he took up training, the white with blue diagonal stripes to the body appear to be the colours registered to Mrs G Buchanan, circa 1950s-60s, complete with a blue and a white cap, (4 items).The Smyth family is one of the most famous names associated with Epsom as a training centre. Vic Smyth was a fine jockey in the 1920s, before becoming a trainer and most famously winning four Champion Hurdles.

A limited edition bronze head & shoulders bust of the jockey Lester Piggott by the Irish sculptor Gary Trimble ARHA (1928-1979), signed with initials G.T., numbered No.5, and marked DAF (Dublin Art Foundry), the jockey modelled in racing silks and helmet & cap, rich patina, 39cm. high., 24cm. width, mounted on a cubic white marble plinth set with a brass plaque bearing Lester Piggott's facsimile signature and inscribed BY GARY TRIMBLE, overall height 54cm.Eleven of these these Lester Piggott bronzes were cast. Other known examples from the edition are in the collections of the late Lester Piggott and Vincent O'Brien, whilst another is in the John Magnier Collection.

A pair of riding boots and a race whip originally used by the jockey Frankie Durr,the boots in black & tan leather, inscribed inside F. DURR, very well used; the jockey whip also well used, inscribed in yellow paint F. DURR., (2).Jockey Frankie Durr rode between 1942 and 1978. He enjoyed classic successes with Mon Fils and Roland Gardens in the 2,000 Guineas and with Sodium and Peleid in the St Leger. He also won the Irish Derby on Sodium.

Abroad, Pat also won the Prix du Jockey Club on Hours After.
